If you are out there doing content marketing then you can 100% appreciate the power of having good keywords. Keywords are the lifeline of your content, and without them you are leaving it to chance that someone will actually stumble upon your content. So how is it that all these SEO “gurus” (not really) go out there and actually find blog keywords, and keywords for all their other content that actually work?
Well it really depends on what your budget is. There are tons of different software’s and applications that can give you incredible amounts of data and help you find highly profitable blog keywords and content keywords at the click of a button.
But, if you are on an “SEO Budget” and just can’t afford those $100-$500 fancy pants tools, that is ok. Here is a very simple and effective way of finding out exactly what blog keywords are performing well for almost every keyword phrase you can think of in your head.
The best thing about this strategy that I love from the bottom of my heart is that it is 100% FREE and almost no one that I know knows of this little keyword cheat and if they do, they are keeping it all to themselves. Using this simple strategy, and my mixing it with Google Keyword Tool keywords, you should have enough blog keywords and ideas to last the lifetime of your business.

Jeff,
Awesome to see this put into action. I had heard of this tactic before, but I have never seen it put into action. You did a very nice job blasting out the info.
The key will be keeping track of the keywords and utilizing them correctly in your content.
How many are you placing in each article/blog post?

This was an awesome tip.I’ll be putting this marketing strategy into my bag of tricks.Keep it up you have great marketing tips to share.
Actually as I think of something that I want to blog about, I tend to create the post around a specific keyword that I find. Almost like reverse blogging.
I just search for a specific topic, then create the actual content around the phrase. I typically don’t ever use more than 4-5 kw’s per post. But I am only every trying to optimize for 1.

Fantastic Jeff.!. This is sometimes called “REVERSE ENGINEERING” by some Internet Marketers. My favorite explanation of this method for Videos, Ezines, etc. is by a dude named Mack Michaels.
Thank you very much for sharing this powerful and quick to use step Jeff. I hope others realize how much keyword research work this saves for you.
I also use keywordspy.com too! and a tool called the Word Wizard from Wordpress Mage
