I wanted to share some cool stuff that is going on in my business and why I feel that it is important for you to take a minute and read this.<br />
<br />
As you probably already know, I have been marketing on the internet for a little over 3 years now and I guarantee you that in that time I have stumbled across a few golden nuggets that have helped me do things a little faster and a little smarter.<br />
<br />
You see, I’m a bit on the lazy side when it comes to a lot of things, but I am constantly searching for cutting edge stuff that will make my job easier.<br />
<br />
Having said that, I have worked very hard to gain the knowledge and understanding of how things work, as you should too.  This is not a deal for laying on the couch and raking in boatloads of the green stuff…(unless you learn how, which is what I;m teaching you)<br />
<br />
What I want to talk to you about today is tracking.  I’ve talked about it before, but I want to go a little deeper into the subject and share a new tool I just picked up (for $0.00) that is helping guide my business in a more profitable direction.<br />
<br />
Tracking your business is probably the biggest secret that is not a secret to success and why all the top dogs in the industry can continue to be the top dogs in the industry.<br />
<br />
Most people come into their online business, throw up a website or rent an attraction marketing system and just start posting stuff and advertising all over the internet.<br />
<br />
This is good for the most part because you are out there taking action and getting more things done than the vast majority of people.<br />
<br />
But, there is always a but.  If you are not tracking what you are doing online in terms of real measurements of your progress, then in my opinion you are missing 90% of what you really need to be more successful.<br />
<br />
For example:  If you pay $100 for an advertisement and you are not tracking the results, then how in the world would you know if it is a good advertisement?<br />
<br />
You wouldn’t.<br />
<br />
But what if you paid $100 for an advertisement, it generated you say 15 leads and brought in $150 which paid off your initial investment, $50 profit and 15 leads that you could promote additional products to later?<br />
<br />
Scenario #2 sounds way better to me.  I like leads and profit.<br />
Having a good tracking source in place allows you to analyze any and everything that you are doing online so that you can see what is working and what is not working.<br />
<br />
Throw out the stuff that is not working and build on all the things that are working.   As time goes by you will start to have a little army of things that are working in your favor, saving you time money and frustration.<br />

<br />If you are struggling in your business and are having a hard time generating leads that are interested in what you have to offer, I have a simple solution that is hands down the easiest marketing strategy that you can ever implement into your business.<br />
<br />
This is really the best of both worlds.  You are implementing online and offline marketing together as one by taking a prospect from the offline world and turning them into a prospect in the online world.<br />
<br />
This strategy is so simple and one that any organization can duplicate right from day one.  This little gem of marketing is known as:<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.OnlineMLMMentors.Com/goto/drop-cards">Drop Card Marketing</a>.<br />
<br />
So what is a <a href="http://www.OnlineMLMMentors.Com/goto/drop-cards">drop card</a>?<br />
<br />
A drop card is similar to a business card, but is created to be “dropped” all over the place.  The <a href="http://www.OnlineMLMMentors.Com/goto/drop-cards">drop card marketing </a>strategy that I suggest is using $100 bill drop cards.  They look like a sweet little $100 bill folded up and inside has a quick for your product or business.  It is really insane  how little this strategy is used although it has turned huge profits in the previous years.<br />
<br />
I love this strategy because it allows me to be marketing wherever I am.   No matter if I am shopping at the grocery store, bowling, grabbing a new book from the library or eating dinner with my kids.  All I have to do is pull a $100 bill drop card out of my pocket and “drop” it where I am.<br />
<br />
I have sit and watched tons of people over the past weeks nearly dive to the floor to grab my piece of marketing gold.<br />
<br />
Here are a few strategies that I am using right now to expose my business to people who I would NEVER of had access to if I relied completely on the internet for my business.<br />
<br />
1.  In my city we have a “Unemployment Guide”, which is simply a 20-30 page magazine that is released every month for free that helps those who are unemployed or looking for something better to find it.  I know that you will typically hear that just because someone is unemployed and broke they are not good prospects, but in all actuality your opportunity could be the answer to their prayers.<br />
<br />
Just because they are looking for a job (especially where I live) does not mean that they are broke and un motivated.<br />
<br />
2. Opportunity Magazines-  This is seriously a golden nugget for everyone.  I have been taking my $100 bill drop cards and placing them between the pages of Small Business Opportunities Magazine, Entrepreneur Magazine, Work From Home Magazine and every other make money magazine I can find.  Honestly, to place an ad in those magazines is $1000’s per page and I am getting a physical fall out of the magazine ad for my business for pennies on the dollar.<br />
<br />
3. The library-  If you spend much time at the library like I do, you know that there is always tons of books about starting a business, business training, work from home, getting rich, financial planning, investing, getting a better career, etc.<br />
<br />
I have recently started going to all the local branches instead of just my normal one just so that I can put my $100  drop cards inside those books.    I am particularly fond of the Suzie Orman books because she is getting so much publicity from the big “O” Oprah that her books are flying off the shelf.<br />
<br />
4.  Using the same strategy as #3, when I am at the local bookstore, Books A Million, I am placing my <a href="http://www.OnlineMLMMentors.Com/goto/drop-cards">cards</a> in all the same types of books.  Really, marketing does not get any easier that this.  People pick up these books looking for a better way and it is like a miracle or fate that my business pitch falls right into their lap or their at their feet.  Plus if they don’t like it, it will get thrown on the group for the next potential prospect to pick up.<br />
<br />
5. Gas Stations.  I have stolen this marketing strategy and a couple of the next ones from the great Cedrick Harris.  Whenever you are at the pump getting some gas, just plug your drop card into the credit card slot of the pump.  Someone will have to pull out your advert so that they can put their card in.  Plus, like I said before, if they don’t like it they will throw it on the ground for the next potential prospect.<br />
<br />
6. Tipping.  This is a great strategy, most of the people who are in the customer service industry are perfect prospects because they know how to interact with people and for the most part they are good at it.   They have a keen sense of who a person is.<br />
<br />
Don’t you ever wander why they offer you specific things from the menu?  They don’t ask a woman in a church dress if they would like a Margarita, they understand people and personality types because it is a part of their job.<br />
<br />
7. Junk mail.  The majority of the mail that you will be receiving in your mail box mail.  But there is one thing about junk mail that makes it so great.  Every credit card offer, financing offer or any other junk that you get always has a “no postage necessary if mailed in the U.S.<br />
<br />
All you need to do if fold a piece of paper, stick your $100 bill drop card in and return it to the company.  Honestly, it will be going to someone who works in the mailroom and I am 90% sure that they would rather be making a real living at home that suffering through opening mail every day.</p>

Content syndication is truly a beast.  When you have the ability to have 100&#8217;s if not 1000&#8217;s of people out there promoting your content and getting you tons of exposure it is hands down the fastest way to becoming a superstar online.<br />

having your content syndicated by other really allows you to do a couple things:<br />
1. More Traffic- This is pretty much a no-brainer.  Everyone is searching for more traffic, to generate more leads and sponsor more distributors for their business.<br />
<br />
2. Higher Search Engine Rankings- When you are able to get your content &#8220;ranked&#8221; in the search engines, it will create a neverending river of targeted traffic to your site for the rest of time.<br />
<br />
3. Social Proof- This is were things really kick in with content syndication.  Just the fact that other people are promoting your content forces more people to read your content.  It is like your syndication network becomes your entourage and people like to be associated with people of influence. In essence You are creating an atmosphere for <a href="http://www.timatkinsonlive.com/internet-marketing/viral-marketing-%e2%80%93-how-to-make-people-want-to-promote-your-site.html">viral marketeting</a>.<br />

If you&#8217;ve built up a list of opt-in subscribers that are qualified and interested in what you have to offer, then you&#8217;ve completed the first step and are on your way. 1.Provide useful, relevant content. Your visitors will not give you their email addresses just because they can subscribe to your newsletter free of charge. You have to provide unique and valuable information that will be of interest or use to them.<br />

2.Add a subscription form to every page on your website. Make sure it stands out so it is easy to find. If it doesn&#8217;t look cluttered, you may want to include more than one on some pages. For instance, if your opt-in form always appears in the top-left corner of your site, you may want to add one at the end of your most popular articles.<br />

3.Add subscription forms to your social media pages. 7.Archive past newsletters and articles. An online library of past newsletters and articles is both appealing and useful to visitors and builds your credibility as an authority. In addition, if your articles are written with good SEO techniques in mind, they can increase traffic to your website through enhanced search engine positioning.<br />

8.Give gifts subscribers can actually use. Offer an opt-in bonus for joining your subscriber list! Write an ebook or provide a PDF business report, or even hire a programmer to create downloadable or web-based software. But don&#8217;t limit yourself to offering gifts to opt-ins. Give them out when your readers fill out a survey, provide a testimonial, success story, or a great product idea. Let them know when they can expect the next gift offer. Everyone likes to get something for free! And if you pass out &#8220;goodies&#8221; throughout the year, your subscribers will feel truly appreciated − and that&#8217;s good for business!<br />

9.Ask your subscribers to pass it on. Word of mouth is a powerful viral technique that works great with email marketing. If your subscribers find your content interesting, amusing or informative, they&#8217;ll probably share it with their friends. This can be a great source of new customers, so make sure to remind them to &#8220;pass it on&#8221;.<br />

10.Let others reprint your newsletter as long as the content is not modified. If you&#8217;re happy to share your content with the universe, then why not! Many webmasters and newsletter publishers are actively looking for high-quality content and, if they reprint your newsletter, you&#8217;ll get new subscribers, and more traffic and links pointing to your site.<br />

11.Include a &#8220;Sign Up&#8221; button in your newsletter. If you&#8217;re using plain text instead of HTML, be sure to provide a text link to your subscription page. You may feel that this is not required because the subscriber is already on your list, but remember that readers will forward your newsletters to others, or reprint them online. Make it easy for them to subscribe!<br />

12.Add a squeeze page. A squeeze page has one goal − to acquire opt-ins and build your list. Think of it as a mini-sales letter to go along with your subscription or opt-in gift. It should feature a strong headline and a couple of powerful benefits that should make subscribers salivate to sign up! Once created, use a service such as WordTracker to find hundreds of targeted keywords, and promote your offer using pay-per-click advertising from Google, MSN and Yahoo. Now that should make a splash!<br />

13.Include testimonials on your squeeze page. This is crucial. Put one or two strong testimonials from satisfied customers on your squeeze page. This can be in any format, but you may find that multimedia (audio or video) is more &#8220;believable&#8221; and inspires more people to action. To further enhance believability, get permission to use actual customer names, locations and/or urls (Don&#8217;t use &#8220;Bob K, FL&#8221;). Add a note inviting others to participate. After all, it&#8217;s free publicity!<br />

14.Blog religiously. Blogging is a great way to communicate with prospects and potential customers, and creates a nice synergy with your email marketing. Be sure to include your newsletter sign-up form on each page of your blog. You can start a free blog at Blogger or WordPress.<br />
<br />
15.Post on other blogs. Post thoughtful comments and information on similar blogs with a link to your squeeze or opt-in pages. Also comment on others&#8217; blogs through trackbacks. In most cases, your comments will be posted on their blogs with a link back to your site. This is an easy way to generate new traffic and subscribers, and get your brand out there!<br />

All the &#8220;<a href="http://mlimagine.magneticsponsoringonline.com">Superstar Guru&#8217;s</a>&#8221; are out there preaching about using <a href="http://www.friendfeed.com/jeffmitchell">social media</a> to dominate your company and generate tons of free leads, while they are spending their time sucking in new keywords for their <a href="http://mlimagine.freeppcleads.com/">PPC</a> campaigns.<br />

It is quite simple.  Either spend 100 hours a month on social media, or spend 100 hours once and benefit for the rest of time. Well, if you want to be specific it takes some management to really be dominate in <a href="http://mlimagine.freeppcleads.com/">PPC</a>, but we will use that analogy to get us started.<br />
<br />
But the question is &#8220;How much to spend per click in PPC?&#8221;<br />
<br />
It is a really funny  question to the ones  of us who understand  the principle of marketing.  To answer the question easily&#8230;Don&#8217;t spend more than have too.   LOL  What I mean by that is PPC is a paid marketing strategy, this is not <a href="http://www.twitter.com/jeffmitchell">Twitter</a>, <a href="http://www.facebook.com/whoisjeffmitchell">Facebook</a> or and the goal is to never have to spend a penny more than you NEED to.<br />

Before we get into the cost per click, we need to understand the marketing process as a whole.  In this example I am going to be representing an mlm/network marketing funnel.  </p>

<p>Ad  > Capture Page > Front End Sale > Relationship Building/Marketing Mat. >Back End Offer(MLM)<br />
<br />
Your goal in the lead generation process is this: Generate as many possible leads as you can to sponsor in your primary opportunity without going broke.  (Emptying Your Ice Tray) Because it takes time to build up the residual in ANY mlm company.  (Freezing Your Ice)<br />
<br />
Your primary company won&#8217;t tell you this, but the site that they provide you will do just that&#8230;<b>LEAVE YOU BROKE.</b><br />
<br />
So how do you generate leads for your primary company without breaking your bank.<br />
<br />
The Funded Proposal Concept.  A.K.A Self-Liquidated Offer.<br />
<br />
In a nutshell you promote a training product on the front end, get the prospect to opt-in to get the training, then once you have their information, you market to them.  Upfront you market them a low priced SOLUTION to their problem.  (How To Generate THEM  More Leads, How To Use <a href="http://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffamitchell">Social Media</a> To Market THEIR Business.)<br />
<br />
The low cost solution that you are selling them is what is going to create a steady income to offset your advertising cost, if not eliminate it.<br />
<br />
So back to how much should you pay per click in your PPC advertising?<br />
<br />
You have to understand your <a href="http://www.onlinemlmmentors.com"> marketing funnel</a>. You have to be able to determine what the outcome of acquiring a lead means to your business.   This is your marketing metrix.<br />
<br />
<b>Example: </b>  You have a website that converts at 20%, which means that for every 100 clicks to your site you will convert 20 of them to leads.  If your cost per click is $1.00, then you are paying $5.00 per lead.             (100 leads  = $500)<br />
<br />
If your $50 front end product sells at 5% then for every  100 leads you get you will make $250 on the front end. If you are sponsoring reps at the going rate of 1-3% and earning a commission of at least $100 per rep, then for ever 100 leads you generate you will be making $550 (not counting the residuals), which in turn is an actual profit upfront of $0.50 a lead. Thus you are refilling your ice tray.<br />

As I have been doing some testing with some new marketing strategies, I have found out that the statistics from Bit.ly are showing outrageous numbers.<br />
<br />
At first glance, I thought a couple of the new marketing mediums were just exploding with hits, and that my conversion was not nearly as high as I am used to.<br />
<br />
My google analytics, MLMLSP analytics and the bit.ly analytics were just not adding up.<br />
<br />
I like to use multiple indicators of how my marketing is performing.  Having different view allows me to know when something is failing&#8230;.such as bit.ly.<br />
<br />
So I investigated the problem and here is what I found about bit.ly.  First off let me say this:  I was a huge fan of  tr.im, but they are shutting the site down soon if they have not already, so I was forced to use another link shortener.<br />
<br />
Bit.ly, who is rumored to be bought out by the social media giant <a href="http://www.twitter.com/jeffmitchell">Twitter.Com</a>, has a few downfalls in the way that it tracks URLS.    Bit.ly allows decodes, Decodes can be caused by bots, and by applications, like browser plug-ins, which expand the underlying url without causing a click-through.<br />
<br />
So what you see when you are looking in your &#8220;back office&#8221; of Bit.ly is a culmination of robots, plug-in and only a portion of that is actually clicks by users.<br />
<br />
Be sure that you are using multiple sources to track your marketing efforts, with bad tracking you are going to make decisions that could drastically hurt your business, or hurt your marketing budget without even knowing why.<br />
