3 Simple Steps For Building Your Brand Online-The Right Way!

It seems as though every single person in this whole industry has gotten consumed by the personal branding and “attraction marketing” business model.

I was reading through some emails lately and came across a pretty quick email from a successful marketer that I don’t typically agree with.

The article was pretty much presenting the question: Why are there so many people online who can teach you to do this or do that, when they have never done this or that for themselves.

I know I know….Attraction marketing is king right?

Position yourself as a leader, bring value to the marketplace and you will generate an endless amount of free leads and new distributors to your business at will.

Doesn’t it sound just too damn easy?

Here is the deal. The marketers that are able to do this all have the same traits and I promise you that it is not going out and spouting off at the mouth about how they are trainers and coaches when they are not.

They have earned their right to be in the position that they are in through hard work and dedication and ACTUALLY PROVIDING THEIR OWN VALUE to the market place.

If you ever want to step up and really be attractive here are three steps that I strongly urge you to follow.

Step One- Learn A New Skill. If you ever want to have any short or long term success in this business then you need to be learning new skills as often as possible.

Hop on a few webinars, invest in quality training courses (not cheap ebook garbage), read real books on a daily basis.

I personally read every single day of the week because I enjoy learning.

Step Two- Implement the new skill. This for some reason is what brings 90% of the people who want to have success down. (Never trust a statistic…lol) Seriously though, why invest the time, money and energy into learning something if you are never going to use it.

You never know, it may actually work!

Step Three- Share your results. To me this is the easiest part of the whole three part process and where “attraction marketing” really starts to kick in. People can use your trial and error to benefit themselves. Continue to do this over and over and people will start to follow you to “steal” you information.

This same three step success process is what has created ever single successful person in this whole industry. Look at someone like Mike Dillard, he failed and failed and when he found something that worked…he shared it.

He turned one simple idea in a multi-million dollar a year business in just a couple years!

6 Things You Can Do To Change The Rest of 2011

We are almost finished with the first half of 2011
but there is plenty of time for you to really make
that big push to make 2011 your best year ever.

I want to share with a few things that you can be
doing right now to bring more exposure to your business
and help you build a stronger team and generate more
income.

1. Focus on Your business. Far too often are people
not paying attention to what they are doing. They are
out there just shooting into the trees as far as their business
is concerned.

This business is a business and needs to be treated that way.

2. Show people who you really are. This industry is getting
more competative every single day and you have to be
more original to get your message in front of the people that
you want to attract.

With all the “attraction marketing” systems, trainings sold in mass
and silly social media marketing strategies that are in my opinion
borderline spam, you’ve GOT to be real.

3. Read more. This is really a no brainer, but I promise if you
spend more time reading, you will find growing your business will
become easier and easier. There is more wealth in a handful of
books than you will can ever find in a overpriced training product.

4. Step outside the box. Every person who comes into this industry
is learning from the same group of people. Now don’t get me wrong,
there are time tested strategies that need to be learned and a ton of great
teachers in the biz, but you need to step outside of what everyone else
is doing and find your own power.

5. Don’t procrastinate. THis is one of the top things that I am seeing with
all the people who come into the online marketing arena. They learn all
these super cool tricks, tips and cutting edge strategies and then sit on
them until they are worn out and outdated.

6. Be consistant. If you are going to build a business then you need to
build a business. Do you think that anyone is ever going to get better for
you if you just do a little marketing here and there?

No, you need to be on the frontlines working your business every single
free moment that you have. This is really what seperates the men from the
boys in this business. To ever make this work you are going to have to work.

These six steps are pretty simple, but if you follow them I promise that you are
going to ROCK out the rest of the year.

What I learned From A Fat Loser The Harsh Reality Of Our Industry

I honestly don’t spend a ton of time watching television, but there are a few shows that I really hate to miss and sadly enough record them onto the DVR to watch when I have down time. (I try not to have any at all)

One show that I continued to watch every single week is “The Biggest Loser”. The biggest loser is not just “one of those reality shows.” In my opinion it redefines what reality really is. Full of raw emotions, struggles, desires and dreams that can only be accomplished by one thing. Taking Action.

The show is about breakthroughs and letting go all of the baggage that hold people back from being who they really want to be in life. The show is about fighting through the sweat and tears of the past and letting go of all the excuses that are stopping you or holding you back from accomplishing your goals. In reality, the show is life or death for some people.

I was having a conversation with my girlfriend the other night as we were watching the show and she made a comment that hit me like a brick wall. It was such an simple comment with a HUGE impact on the rest of my week, this simple comment really was just a comment in her eyes, but it really helped ENGRAIN a growing problem with this industry in my mind.

She said, “The reason most of those people regain all the weight back is because when they leave the show, they have to go back to their jobs and their kids. They don’t have all the food prepared for them everyday and it takes too much time to find the right food and exercise for most people. “

Now here I was, about 3 feet away from her on the other sofa, and my jaw was laying on the floor in utter shock about what had just come out of her mouth. Let me just say that my girlfriend is very educated with two bachelors in the medical field, over 6 years of literally killing herself in college to make big things happen for herself. A real action taker that for some reason just doesn’t see the vision.

As I sat there thinking about what she had just said, I grabbed the remote and paused the DVR. (we had to have a quick debate over this)

As I looked over at her, I simple stated that her comment was just an excuse. It was 100% an excuse for the people who could not take it upon themselves and continue down the program that was keeping them healthy. It was just an excuse to restart their relationship with their bad habits. It was just an excuse for their own weaknesses and dependencies on others for the success in their lives.

The “Biggest Loser” is simply a training ground for the rest of their lives, it is a starter guide for knowledge and action steps, it is a blueprint for success.

I see this everyday in this industry, every single day, day in and day out you hear of someone complaining that Magnetic Sponsoring, MLM Lead System Pro, 7 Figure Network, Black Belt Recruiting or any other training program did not create success for them.

All of these things are EXACTLY like the “Biggest Loser Ranch”. Too many people blame their company, their sponsor, their up line, their system, their training, their dog, their cat and their mailman for what is not happening in their business.

No one is going to take you by the hand for the rest of your life and baby sit you in your business. Your success is completely dependant on you, your failures are completely what you have made them. Success is just a consistent action on activities that produce results. Failures are training grounds for what to NOT do in the future.

I am huge on personal development in the sense that everyone needs to grow in order to achieve success. You won’t see me preaching some philosophical speech or anything to the tune of that, but I understand the power of having the ability to see through the obstacle of everything and pushing forward to achieve your goals.

What most people don’t understand is that when you come into the industry as a “noob” you are facing odds that you will fail or quit. (Actually you only fail when you quit)

But why is it that you fail, is it that you are stupid, is it that you don’t have any money, is it that your family curse says “though shalt not succeed”? No. Failure is only an obstacle that must be overcome with adversity. When you look around the industry at every single person you see pitching a business, indirectly or directly (a.k.a spam) you will see a pattern.

There will be people that you see for an extended period of time. Those that you see over an extended period of time are either:

1. Making it work.
2. Working their ass off to make It work.

That is it. The time that I have spend in this industry only being around 19 months, I have seen as many people leave as I have seen come. And the sad part is that many of them had the potential and the heart to really make it work.

But what is it that separates the weak and the strong. Will. Take a look at the movie Rudy, that scrawny short little kid worked himself to the bone and never got the opportunity to play hardly one minute in the game. Did he leave, no. He sat on that bench every single minute but two of his whole four years in college football.

But what is Rudy doing now? He is making around $17,500 dollars a speech as a motivational speaker. Yes, his football games never made him an all-star, but his legend lives on to the tunes of 100’s of thousands of dollars a year.

He pursued something that he believed in and in the end it paid him money that he would never be making if he actually went to the NFL in the 1960’s.

The story here is that no matter what the obstacles are, if you pursue your dreams hard enough and understand what it takes to really be successful, the pitfalls will over power themselves and lead to a more powerful you.

Ok so.. Social Media is the king right now. But the majority if not 99.9 percent of all the marketers on the internet are using social media the WRONG WAY.. Why, so many people believe that social media is their change to jump into the industry, gain a huge following and in turn build a huge business. So So Wrong From the start. Social media is just a piece of the over all strategy.

Social media can only be effective when you build a solid strategy and put it into action. In a day when “Attraction Marketing” is growing more and more powerful, and when less people are even being attractive to start with , it is growing easier to be yourself and grow a business. Do Attraction Marketing Systems Really Work?

It seems like all the hype in the industry is all about thse so-called “Attraction Marketing” systems. But I was thinking a little while ago, when there are thousands of people in the same industry using these systems….are they really attraction marketing? Or— Are they becoming a corporate website for another MLM company. (The System Themselves!)
Well to answer the questions “Do Attraction Marketing Systems Work. The answer is a resounding yes, but do they actually work for you.

So is it responsible as an entrepreneur to continue using something that is not really yours, yes most will allow you to build a list and they will tell you what to promote, how to promote…but is it you.
Maybe the system telling you what to do is stunting your growth.

It is time to break out of the new “Corporate Website” mentality and start building an attraction marketing system of your own.
