hey all what’s up.

I wanted to share some cool stuff that is going on in my business and why I feel that it is important for you to take a minute and read this.

As you probably already know, I have been marketing on the internet for a little over 3 years now and I guarantee you that in that time I have stumbled across a few golden nuggets that have helped me do things a little faster and a little smarter.

You see, I’m a bit on the lazy side when it comes to a lot of things, but I am constantly searching for cutting edge stuff that will make my job easier.

Having said that, I have worked very hard to gain the knowledge and understanding of how things work, as you should too. This is not a deal for laying on the couch and raking in boatloads of the green stuff…(unless you learn how, which is what I;m teaching you)

What I want to talk to you about today is tracking. I’ve talked about it before, but I want to go a little deeper into the subject and share a new tool I just picked up (for $0.00) that is helping guide my business in a more profitable direction.

Tracking your business is probably the biggest secret that is not a secret to success and why all the top dogs in the industry can continue to be the top dogs in the industry.

Most people come into their online business, throw up a website or rent an attraction marketing system and just start posting stuff and advertising all over the internet.

This is good for the most part because you are out there taking action and getting more things done than the vast majority of people.

But, there is always a but. If you are not tracking what you are doing online in terms of real measurements of your progress, then in my opinion you are missing 90% of what you really need to be more successful.

For example: If you pay $100 for an advertisement and you are not tracking the results, then how in the world would you know if it is a good advertisement?

You wouldn’t.

But what if you paid $100 for an advertisement, it generated you say 15 leads and brought in $150 which paid off your initial investment, $50 profit and 15 leads that you could promote additional products to later?

Scenario #2 sounds way better to me. I like leads and profit.
Having a good tracking source in place allows you to analyze any and everything that you are doing online so that you can see what is working and what is not working.

Throw out the stuff that is not working and build on all the things that are working. As time goes by you will start to have a little army of things that are working in your favor, saving you time money and frustration.

What to do when your significant other doesn’t support you.

This is really in my opinion one of the hardest obstacles to over come when you are getting started in the home business industry.

It always humored me when I got started in my business and really devoting the time that I needed to start to make some big things happen and got nothing but complaints and questions.

Not questions of interest.

Questions like:

How long are you going to do that for?
How much is it gonna cost you.
What makes you think you can….?
What if it…..?
I don’t understand why….?

And those are just a few of the questions that I encountered and I am sure that you yourself have encountered if you are in a relationship of any sort that does not understand what you have set out to do.

I could sit and watch television from the time I got home from work until the time that I went to bed and not a single word would have been mentioned about being lazy, boring or just wasting large amounts of valuable time.

But deciding to invest my time and my life into something more productive and learning skill sets that will be valuable for the rest of my life, was anything but peachy cream.

So how do you overcome “Spousal Business Suicide” as I like to call it?

It is really not that difficult, it will just require a little bit of extra work on your part.

Here is what I did. And remember, you are more than likely going to have to lose some sleep, but you have to be willing to sacrifice for the life of your business.

1. Do a little extra work around the house. – When you are helping out more around the house it is extremely helpful and will earn your some extra points.

2. Help out with the kids a little more. Once again more points, but NEVER use it as leverage, do it without mentioning it or using it.

3. PLAN your balance with family and business and business. If you plan your business activities, you will not waste as much time and become more efficient at getting tasks done quicker.

4. Study and learn on your downtime. Listen to mp3’s, tapes cd’s when you are driving in your car, walking, lunch breaks. Spend time learning any and as much free time as you have. This way you don’t have to do It at home and you can get family and marketing done every single day.

Those four tips should help you out major when balancing life and business. It is in my opinion all a matter of planning your business around your life.

As you start to increase your knowledge and learn how to automate and outsource elements of your marketing you will begin to earn more and more and working less.

Setting Up Your Daily Method of Operation

Today I decided that I need to start digging a little harder to accomplish some of the goals that I had put together for myself in 2011. The year is halfway over and you and I still have big things in mind.

So what I figured I would do, was go back to the basics and redo some of the most basic but important aspects of my business.

The first few things I wanted to look at was my goals for the rest of the year, the amount of days left in the year and my daily method of operation for completing those goals in the time that I have.

I want to go into 2012 with my business being more solid than it ever has been, so I am going to get hard at work now. There are really some MAJOR things that I want to change in the 6-12 months that will require me to step out of the box a little further, concentrate and really focus my energy where it is needed most.

Today I am going to share with you how to setup your daily method of operation, so that you can put this in place in your business and start to be more consistent in your business. Really, those who are more consistent in their business are going to develop habits that are going to alter their business in a huge way over a period of time.

What is a daily method of operations?

You daily method of operations (DOM) is the plan that you follow every single day to help accomplish your goals. Every one has goals, but not everyone has a plan put together to accomplish those goals.

Your DOM is pretty much the same as a to do list. I like to use a simple spreadsheet in Microsoft Excel and create a list. There are many ways to do this, but this is how I prefer it.

Simply make a list of all the marketing strategies that you want to employ into your business across the top (i.e writing articles, shooting video, Facebook, Craigslist) and everyday look to your DOM and see what you have to get done for the day.

Too much time is wasted when you log on to your pc, and have to sit and think about what you want to be doing or what needs to be done. Knowing exactly what you need to be doing every single day, will help you dramatically stop wasting time.

It seems as though every single person in this whole industry has gotten consumed by the personal branding and “attraction marketing” business model.

I was reading through some emails lately and came across a pretty quick email from a successful marketer that I don’t typically agree with.

The article was pretty much presenting the question: Why are there so many people online who can teach you to do this or do that, when they have never done this or that for themselves.

I know I know….Attraction marketing is king right?

Position yourself as a leader, bring value to the marketplace and you will generate an endless amount of free leads and new distributors to your business at will.

Doesn’t it sound just too damn easy?

Here is the deal. The marketers that are able to do this all have the same traits and I promise you that it is not going out and spouting off at the mouth about how they are trainers and coaches when they are not.

They have earned their right to be in the position that they are in through hard work and dedication and ACTUALLY PROVIDING THEIR OWN VALUE to the market place.

If you ever want to step up and really be attractive here are three steps that I strongly urge you to follow.

Step One- Learn A New Skill. If you ever want to have any short or long term success in this business then you need to be learning new skills as often as possible.

Hop on a few webinars, invest in quality training courses (not cheap ebook garbage), read real books on a daily basis.

I personally read every single day of the week because I enjoy learning.

Step Two- Implement the new skill. This for some reason is what brings 90% of the people who want to have success down. (Never trust a statistic…lol) Seriously though, why invest the time, money and energy into learning something if you are never going to use it.

You never know, it may actually work!

Step Three- Share your results. To me this is the easiest part of the whole three part process and where “attraction marketing” really starts to kick in. People can use your trial and error to benefit themselves. Continue to do this over and over and people will start to follow you to “steal” you information.

This same three step success process is what has created ever single successful person in this whole industry. Look at someone like Mike Dillard, he failed and failed and when he found something that worked…he shared it.

We are almost finished with the first half of 2011
but there is plenty of time for you to really make
that big push to make 2011 your best year ever.

I want to share with a few things that you can be
doing right now to bring more exposure to your business
and help you build a stronger team and generate more
income.

1. Focus on Your business. Far too often are people
not paying attention to what they are doing. They are
out there just shooting into the trees as far as their business
is concerned.

This business is a business and needs to be treated that way.

2. Show people who you really are. This industry is getting
more competative every single day and you have to be
more original to get your message in front of the people that
you want to attract.

With all the “attraction marketing” systems, trainings sold in mass
and silly social media marketing strategies that are in my opinion
borderline spam, you’ve GOT to be real.

3. Read more. This is really a no brainer, but I promise if you
spend more time reading, you will find growing your business will
become easier and easier. There is more wealth in a handful of
books than you will can ever find in a overpriced training product.

4. Step outside the box. Every person who comes into this industry
is learning from the same group of people. Now don’t get me wrong,
there are time tested strategies that need to be learned and a ton of great
teachers in the biz, but you need to step outside of what everyone else
is doing and find your own power.

5. Don’t procrastinate. THis is one of the top things that I am seeing with
all the people who come into the online marketing arena. They learn all
these super cool tricks, tips and cutting edge strategies and then sit on
them until they are worn out and outdated.

6. Be consistant. If you are going to build a business then you need to
build a business. Do you think that anyone is ever going to get better for
you if you just do a little marketing here and there?

No, you need to be on the frontlines working your business every single
free moment that you have. This is really what seperates the men from the
boys in this business. To ever make this work you are going to have to work.

These six steps are pretty simple, but if you follow them I promise that you are
going to ROCK out the rest of the year.
